Civil War
The Libyan uprising against the Qaddifi regime begs question and discussion. First, there are many in this country that condemn Qaddifi's efforts to suppress the uprising, including his use of force against Libya's citizens. If a popular, militant uprising in this country were to occur, how do you supppose our government would respond? Would the keys to D.C be handed over to the insurgents or would our government resist with the full force of our military if necessary?
There are many, both conservative and liberal, calling for U.S. intervention into this civil "war" by inforcing a no fly zone over Libya, a military action. Before taking this action perhaps we should ask ourselves, "If this were our conflict, would we want other countries imposing themselves into our affairs?"
There is another important question to ask. Even if intervention were a proper course, can we afford to do so? Our country is broke. We have two military engagements underway in Iran and Iraq. We don't need another one in Libya.
Dead Caterpillars
On February 12, 2009, Obama, campainging for passage of his stimulus package said, "Yesterday, Jim, the head of Caterpillar said, 'If Congress passes our plan, this company will be able to rehire some of the folks who were just laid off.' and that's a story I am confident will be repeated at companies accross the country."
That same day, shortly after Obama's remarks, Caterpillar CEO, Jim Owens took the podium and said, "The honest reality is that we will probably have to have more lay-offs before we start hiring again."
On March 17, 2009, Caterpillar announced that it was cutting another 2,500 jobs.
Obama lied and the caterpillar died!
Economy Fundamentally Sound
On Meet the Press this past Sunday, economic advisor to Obama Christina Romer said, "Of course the fundamentals are sound," a comment oddly similar to one spoken by Senator McCain during the campaign, to which Obama asked, "Senator McCain, what economy are you talking about?"
Since the fall campaign, the markets are down 30 - 35%, and hundreds of billions of dollars confiscated from American taxpayers have been spent on ill-advised, poorly executed corporate bail-outs. What has changed to allow this administration to now adopt such a positive stance?
My opinion is that the Obama administration is clueless on the matter of the economy, shows no faith or belief in the American system and that there is no real substance to this man other than what some believe to be a mastery of oratory skills. (Listen carefully to his words; they may sound pretty, but greatly lack in substance.)
Obama lies......(you fill in the blank)
AIG Bonuses
Obama's self-righteous, public outrage over the recently paid bonuses at AIG is nothing more than an act to cover up the fact that he signed legislation that allowed the bonuses to be paid, an attempt to once again fool the American people. Consider the following report by Jonathan Karl which can be found at blogs.abcnews.com:
ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports: During late-night, closed-door talks last month, negotiators for the House, Senate and White House stripped out a measure to the stimulus bill that could have restricted the AIG bonuses.
Here's the story:
Last month, the Senate unanimously approved an amendment to the stimulus bill aimed at restricting bonuses over $100,000 at any company receiving federal bailout funds. The measure, which was drafted by Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, and Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., applied these restrictions retroactively to bonuses received or promised in 2008 and onward.
But then...
The provision was stripped out during the closed-door conference negotiations involving House and Senate leaders and the White House. A measure by Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., to limit executive compensation replaced it. But Dodd's measure explicitly exempted bonuses agreed to prior to the passage of the stimulus bill.
Here's the exact language from Dodd's measure in the stimulus: "The prohibition required under clause (i) shall not be construed to prohibit any bonus payment required to be paid pursuant to a written employment contract executed on or before February 11, 2009..."

Impeach Obama
I have never become too involved in political activities other than an occassional letter to a Senator or Representative; but in just over 50 days of the current administration's obvious display of ineptitude in dealing with the serious challenges facing our country, it is now time to become deeply involved in this administrations affairs, to illuminate its unamerican activities, to illuminate its immoral policies and ultimately to lead the charge of impeachment. This administration cannot be allowed to continue unabated. Obama's campaign was a fabrication. Obama himself is a fabrication. Obama has lied unabashedly to the American people. His lies are reported on almost daily. I am tired of the lies. I am tired of the ineptitude. I am tired of the immorality of his policies. Now is the time for action.
Join me in contacting your elected representatives urging them to do all they can to impeach this man. While it is unlikely that the present Congress would take such action, the next one, only two years away, might. We cannot wait until then however, now is the time for action. The future of our country and the future of our children and grandchildren depends on it.

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming........and now resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!
Obama Cabinet Picks
Bill Richardson
Nancy Killifer
Tom Daschel
Tim Geithner
Can you identify the liars, thiefs and cheats in the above list? This is not a trick question. Perhaps this speaks to Obama's lack of judgement or his lack of conviction or ethics.
Change we can believe in!
