Obama is not yet in office and already proposing to add almost $1 trillion to our national debt. This is before addressing any of the social programs he promised. Is this the change you believe in? He is already proposing to reverse several executive orders dealing with abortion, stem cell research and homosexuality (sexual perversity). Is this the change you believe in? His cabinet (advisors) is comprised of old Washington insiders. Is this the change you believe in? May I suggest you have been duped?

$150MM raised in one month by the Obama campaign seems much more obscene to me than $150K used to "borrow" clothes for Sarah Palin that will ultimatly be auctioned for charitable causes.

Does it seem strange to you that the mainstream media seems more intersted in Sarah Palin's "borrowed" wardrobe, than it is in Obama's longstanding relationships with men of questionable character?

That is all God asks for, why should the government ask for any more?

I think that maybe the Chicks were right afterall. I too am ashamed that "W" calls Texas home. He has sold us out, down the river of socialism we go. I think I will start buying Dixie Chick music again.

I have discovered a direct connection between Obama and high blood pressure. Cindy and I took Bertha for a walk tonight and I was overcome at the sight of some Obama/Biden posters in neighbors' yards. My blood pressure soared. Who in their right mind can support such an individual. How can any intelligent person vote for someone with no convictions. To do so will be to put someone in office that will be swayed by the wind. Obama has no moral compass. This man is not looking out for the best interest of our country. Wake up America. Unfortunately, we are no longer a country of "Americans." We have become watered down by the influx of outsiders that are accustomed to a government solution to all of our problems.

So that anyone reading this comment will not think that I have taken of the Republican cool-aide, let me say that Bush has failed in his leadership. Bush is a good man, but apart from the war on terror has not done much to further the interest and well being of this country. His recent bail-out proposal for Wall Street looks much like a deer staring into headlights, not knowing which way to turn. A total lack of leadership. None the less, simply because of Bush's failures we should not turn to a man who's basic beliefs are not in keeping with the fundamental principles that once made America the greatest nation on earth.

The future of our country hangs in the balance.

We have much to celebrate today. Last weekend Cindy and I took a bike trip out to the Hill Country. On the way home, we received a call fron the vet that they had discovered a tumor on one of Bertha's legs. Surgery to remove the tumor was scheduled for Tuesday. While the tumor was cancerous, the lab results showed it to be Type 1, which is generally curable simply by removal of the tumor. With Type 1, surgery alone has a 97 - 98% success rate.

We celebrated tonight at Baby A's. Bertha loved the live music and attention from wait staff and patrons. She loved the fajitas and smiled the whole time.

You may think this silly, but Cindy and I prayed for Bertha, one of God's creatures, and are thankful for His mercy for her (or us). Bertha has had a good and long life as Bulldogs go, but we are not yet ready to give her up and are thankful for this good news and for each day that she enriches our lives and everyone who enters our home.

America is at crossroad in it's history. How we deal with the recent financial system meltdown will prove out what we are made of and what we have become. Do we really believe in the free enterprise system that at one time made America the greatest economic power on earth? Or, have we become weak willed, afraid of failure and totally dependent on our government to "make things right?"

One of the basic principles of our success is the right to fail. Our struggles, our failures and lessons learned are more important to our strenght as a people than success itself. It is through adversity that we gain strength. Unfortunately, this concept has been lost on recent generations in America as we have become more and more dependent on the federal government to support us.

As I see it, a federal bail out is the easy way out, yet with far reaching implications that should cause us all to lose sleep at night. Do we want to leave our children and grandchildren a legacy of socialism or of freedom. I choose to preserve the economic system that made America great.

Let the banks fail!

Did anybody see Nancy Pelosi's daughter on Hannity and Colmes tonight? Liberals make me want to throw up!

I would never suppose to speculate on a person's relationship with Christ, but I am truly puzzled that anyone could claim Jesus as thier Savior and at the same time support anyone (aka Obama/Biden) that is supportive of morally perverse lifestyles such as homosexuality (gay marraige, civil unions) and the taking of innocent life (abortion). There is much at stake; not only the outcome of the upcoming election, but also the future of America. The moral fiber of our nation is coming unraveled. Our God is patient, but at some point He will cease to be patient and will withdraw His blessing and grace from America, which has become a union of obstinate and disobedient people. Consider the history of Israel. Should America expect anything different?

What is the American Dream? In its original context, the American Dream could be summed up as "opportunity." Opportunity fulfilled, and sometimes unfulfilled, afforded all citizens of the United States regardless of race, sex or ethnicity to strive for a goal, whose reward was, in most cases, defined in material terms, a higher income, a house, a fancy car, etc. Innovation and hard work were required and the laborer, if successful, was allowed to keep his reward. Success was never guaranteed nor should it have been.

Enter Obama. He would alter the definition. Obama would not define the dream as the opportunity, but rather as the reward. And, since the American Dream is afforded all citizens, he would then surmise the reward should be shared by all, regardless of their contribution to the achievement thereof (Sounds a bit like socialism/communism.). The effect is that creativity, innovation and hard work are discouraged and the greatness of our country is diminished as a result. Why should I labor if my reward will be taken from me and given to others? Why should I labor if I am entitled to someone else's reward? In either case, incentive is gone and productivity (the wealth of a nation) declines.

Obama will rob from the rich (the innovators, creators, laborers) and give to the "poor." One need only consider his tax policies to realize this. The purpose while seemingly noble, will in actuality prove to be just another nail in America's coffin.

The far left elite are hanging in the wind butt naked on this one. We now know that the so called "women's movement" is not, and has never been about women. It is now seen for what it is, the "right" to abort a human life.

The little red hen called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established. Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.

Bill Clinton is get ting $12 million for his memoirs.
Hillary got $8 million for hers.
That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.

Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Phleger, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Tony Rezko, Nahdmi Auchi, Rashid Khalidi........if nothing else, Barak Obama's apparant lack of judgement as evidenced by past and present associations should call into question his ability to command the greatest nation of the free world.

Neither Republican nor Democrat will ever solve the problem. For the Republicans, illegal immigrants are a source of cheap labor for big business. For the Democrats, illegal immigrants are future votes (amnesty). The motives are different, the result is the same.
